It has been such a joy and privilege to reconnect with the Ukrainian Nativity of Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church.

I helped make potato pierogies as a young child with my grandmother in the 1960s!

It was so lovely to return recently – more than half a century later – and see that the same spirit: of kindness, community, and compassion still prevails.

As an additional unexpected but welcome surprise, I saw that many of the same people were/are still active and devoted to the church: Helen Lesagonich, Mrs. Hart, Mr. Grabowski, and others.
(Please excuse any spelling errors of their names. I am spelling phonetically – based on how I was introduced to them fifty-plus years ago.)

    What a wonderful, wonderful community!!!

I feel blessed – then and now – to be welcome.
